I have recently just started my position at the CAD & BIM Manager at The University of Manchester, UK. Previously I worked as a technical BIM Consultant for one of the world’s leading Autodesk Platinum Resellers Graitec. I have gained some great skills and my knowledge relating to Autodesk software is growing every day. So I would like to share with you my readers.

 

After gaining a HND Civil Engineering I worked industry for 13 years, 4 of which at a medium to large Engineering Company called Ramboll (previously Gifford) as a Senior Technician/CAD Coordinator. Working on Airport, Art, Culture & Public Health, Healthcare, Further Education, Commercial, Tourism, and Sport & Leisure. I also supported all technical staff within the organisation with all things AutoCAD.  

 

After spending over 13 years working in AEC (Architecture, Engineering and Construction) industry I took this knowledge and skills to help others. As I moved out of industry to become a Applications Specialist late 2011. Where working within the Autodesk reseller channel has enhanced my skills set dramatically. 

 

Having many years’ experience using Autodesk software such as Revit (Architecture, MEP and Structures), AutoCAD platforms while working on projects in industry and training delegates on how to use the software from essentials level all the way up to advanced. Also Guiding clients set up CAD/Revit Standards and understand how best to implement them.

 

I am also a certified professional in Autodesk Revit Architecture 2015 and Revit Structure and able to support all our clients with their technical problems.

 

As well as using the design software I have been involved in looking at Data Management solutions for clients and how using software such as Autodesk Vault to solve our clients data management needs.
