Did you know you can turn of the Start tab within AutoCAD?
Well you can the System Variable was originally called NEWTABMODE but has been changed to STARTMODE for AutoCAD 2016 release.
If the STARTMODE system variable is set to 0 the Start tab is not displayed. If you set it back to 1, the Start tab is displayed the next time you launch AutoCAD.
Note: A new deployment option enables you to control whether the Start tab is displayed for install deployments.
