Well it’s been a few weeks now since Autodesk has released the latest version of Revit 2016. If you have been attending our Autodesk AEC Product Launch Events across the UK you would of seen some of these new features in action.

I thought I would take a little time to blog about some of the new features:

Selection Boxes

I really like this new tool where the user can select objects in any view and create a section view. It’s certainly a fast and easy way to create a unobstructed 3D view in Revit, the only thing it doesn’t create a new view but changes the default 3D. So you will need to duplicate the default view and rename it.

Simply select the elements you wish to be in the 3D and from the Ribbon Modify tab > View panel > Selection Boxes or you can use the short key BX.
